Our Story

A succinct solution

Sysynkt has been built by real accountants, with decades of experience in the finance systems market, who understand what customers need today.

Founded by finance systems consultants who recognised the potential that web services and automation can bring to the finance office, our aim is to enhance business processes and leverage our customers’ investment in their existing systems to save them both time and money.

With staff located all over the world, but mostly in our development centre in Estonia and our business operations in the UK, we practice what we preach by using the latest cloud tools to manage our agile projects and ensure effective team communication.

Kalev Kalamae
Founder and Managing Director

Kalev’s a proactive "doer”, who has accumulated years of invaluable experience in implementing end-to-end systems for a range of clients. His education in Sydney culminated in a Master of Commerce (USYD) plus set him on a journey to become a Chartered Accountant. However, his passion for technology and data combined with the realisation (and frustration) that accounting software and products had not evolved significantly took over—leading to the birth of Sysynkt.  

These days Kalev splits his time between our lovely new office in Viljandi (Estonian) and London. He also makes sure he doesn’t lose touch with family, work colleagues, and customers in his ‘home’ town of Sydney. When he has any free time, you’ll find Kalev enjoying local live music events, sampling a decent glass of red or facetiming his nieces and nephews.
